"Broken Feedback Trio" is an interactive sound installation built with broken/discarded found objects. A hybrid system consists of three feedback systems, and several motors are employed in the design, resonating the objects to reveal their sonic identities. The system works as an embodied mechanism in which all the modules affect each other through sound and space. Besides, all the motors can be programmed and lively controlled through a digital/analog interface. This allows Broken Feedback Trio to work in three modes:
- an instrument allows physical and digital touch; physical interaction with the objects, and acoustic feedback; controlling the motors through a midi controller
- a responsive installation listens to the room and responds to the events through the motors;
- an algorithmic piece realized through programming the motors.
